Legal and General has enhanced its online quote and apply system OLP Connect.
The protection provider says these changes will ensure a faster and more efficient application process for customers wanting to take out term assurance, critical illness, income protection and family and personal income plans .
OLP Connect processes more than 40,000 applications per month and the improvements will now allow more underwriting decisions to be made straight away which means policies will go on risk much sooner. Following customer feedback, there are fewer questions altogether and the health questions have been made easier for customers to understand and complete.
Peter Graham, managing director of individual protection at Legal and General said: "We believe this is now the quickest online protection system there is of its kind in the market. We have listened to our customers and acted where they have told us to remove unnecessary questions and revise others, making the application for a protection policy a much clearer and simpler process."
