New mobile technology allows advisers to get a life cover quote while on the move

PruProtect has introduced mobile technology which will enable intermediaries to do business while on the move.

The protection provider's Mobile Zone service includes the ability to get a life cover or serious illness cover quote via a handheld mobile device, as well as the means to send email quotes to clients from a phone . It also allows pipeline tracking where intermediaries can check pipeline reports and make follow ups available instantly which will help get policies on risk sooner.

Mobile Zone has been designed with digital communications provider Space01 and PruProtect is the first provider in the UK to offer the service for intermediaries. Justin Taurog, director of marketing and distribution for PruProtect, said: "We understand that providing quotes on the move, keeping intermediaries informed at all times, and making all aspects of the process easier, has never been more essential in the difficult economic times."

Pru Health is donating £10 per heart and cancer cover policy sold from now until February next year.
