Scottish Provident critical illness cover given a 5 star rating

The critical illness cover product offered by Scottish Provident has been awarded a five star rating by Defaqto.

The product has now been given the maximum rating for six consecutive years. The Defaqto rating is awarded after analysing 3000 financial deals in 30 product areas and is designed to reflect the quality of the financial product and help customers make informed choices.

Scottish Provident's five star rating applies to its Self Assurance range of critical illness cover which incorporates critical illness level term, critical illness decreasing term and critical illness stand-alone insurance . Susan Barclay the head of marketing at Scottish Provident, said: "Achieving this rating is testament to our commitment to providing consumers with the best quality products and services for the long term and is evidence of sustained excellence over the previous six years."

Recently, Ms Barclay was keen to emphasise to consumers and IFAs the benefits of flexible protection plans in coping with their changing lives.
