Newcastle Building Society teams up with Axa to launch over-50s plan

Newcastle Building Society has joined forces with Axa Sun Life to unveil a Guaranteed Over 50s plan .

The aim of the plan is to give members access to a simple and affordable way of leaving a guaranteed fixed cash sum for their dependant family members. Newcastle claims the life cover will give anyone aged between 50 and 85-years-old piece of mind and that regardless of their health history, they will be accepted on the plan and will receive a guaranteed fixed cash amount to cover average funeral costs .

Steve Urwin, senior sales and marketing executive at Newcastle Building Society, said: "Ensuring that our members have adequate financial protection for life's up and downs is very important to us. Launching the partnership between Newcastle Building Society and Axa Sun Life will give our members, who would like to plan for the future the reassurance that loved-ones, household bills and other financial worries will be looked after with premiums from as little 20p a day."
