The maximum eligibility age for critical illness applications has been increased from 69-years-old to 74-years-old and the upper age of critical illness policies has been expanded from 69-years-old to 74-years-old.
The maximum term for life cover has been extended to 50 years.
Gerry Warner, protection development manager of Zurich, said: "We recognise that society is changing with people now living and working longer and with that comes evolving financial needs with many people now having commitments that they want to protect beyond retirement age."
