The Income Protection Task Force (IPTF) has announced it will be touring the UK, hosting a series of adviser seminars at the end of April.
The IPTF is a forum which combines insurers, re-insurers and IFAs and has been set up to further the cause of income protection (IP) and to educate advisers on the need and the importance of it within the financial planning process. The roadshows will be held in conjunction with Scottish Provident and Bright Grey, the first of which will be on the 28th of April in Glasgow.
These roadshows will enable IFAs to have direct access to experts within the income protection sector and there will be presentations by advisers, insurers and specialist consultants. Advisers will also be given information on the high incidence rate and financial consequences of a long term disability, as well as the new employment support allowance.
The aim is that afterwards intermediaries will be better equipped with the skills and knowledge to increase their sales of income protection to clients.
