Lifesearch launches new protection policy advice website

Lifesearch has launched a consumer website which is aimed at helping those with less financial know-how purchase protection products.

The website, called getliferight.co.uk, has been designed in conjunction with 1st Exchange and will help consumers understand what protection policies are available without the need to talk to an adviser. The site prompts users to compare their circumstances with different products, critical illness, income protection, life insurance and family income benefit, before purchasing the relevant cover instantly.

If a user decides to apply online straight away, then they will be covered automatically for up to 72 hours as long as the cause of any claim is an accident and not health -related. The new policyholder will then be contacted by a Lifesearch tele-interviewer and be asked to provide full personal details before the plan goes live.

Products will be offered from a select panel of four insurers and these include Axa, Friends Provident, Legal and General and Royal Liver .
