AXA PPP healthcare has announced that for every sale of its medical insurance policy designed exclusively for children, called First Healthcare, it will be donating £20 to the Child Accident Prevention Trust .
The trust, which is Britain's leading charity working to reduce accident-related death and injury of children, says that accidents put more children in hospital in Britain than any other cause.
While the NHS provides urgent treatment following an accident, First Healthcare complements its service by giving prompt access to specialists following GP referral, as well as diagnostic out-patient tests and scans, if a child suffers from an illness or injury that doesn't require A&E attention.
Paul O'Grady, AXA PPP healthcare marketing manager, said: "We're pleased to be helping the trust to continue its work in providing parents and carers with expert, practical information to prevent accidents to children and in addition to the donations, we are promoting the trust's work to our customers through our membership communications."
