Re-brand for Aegon as it phases out Scottish Equitable name
Mon, 22 Jun 2009
Aegon has announced that will be phasing out the Scottish Equitable name in a re-brand that will take place over the next 18 months.

The company has been known as Aegon Scottish Equitable since 2006, but the firm now wants to focus on the Aegon brand. In the IFA market, products carrying the Aegon Scottish Equitable name include protection products and individual pension products .

A spokeswoman for the company said: "The re-brand will be a gradual change as opposed to something that happens overnight. People will begin to see slight changes in the way their literature is branded, such as policy documents and the website. There will be more focus on Aegon at the expense of Scottish Equitable."

Aegon says the re-branding transition is expected to take around 12 to 18 months and comes at a time when the firm is investing heavily in developing its brand through a partnership with British Tennis .
