Free life cover for new parents from Aviva
Fri, 17 Jul 2009
The latest offer from Aviva will provide Britain's new parents with £10,000 worth of free life cover.

Research conducted by Aviva's UK Life business suggests that more than half of parents in the UK would leave their dependent children with little or no financial protection in the event of a parent's death. Around 40 per cent of parents polled have not bought life insurance cover and a further 17 per cent of those polled were found only to have sufficient life insurance cover to repay their mortgage .

Louise Colley, Head of Protection at UK Life, Aviva, said: "For many, life insurance is a box they tick when they buy their first home and then forget about. Anyone, like me, who is a parent knows only too well that the first 12 months can be really tough, as well as incredibly rewarding. We're going the extra mile with this free cover because we believe it's absolutely essential that new parents consider how they best protect their new family."
