Skandia to provide high value protection service

Skandia has unveiled a VIP underwriting service for clients who require high levels of protection as quickly as possible. The service is available to clients who request life cover worth £2m or more, or more than £1m of critical illness cover .

Ian Brown, head of protection at Skandia, said: "We aim to offer a smooth, streamlined service to our customers and the addition of this new VIP service takes our high value protection offering to a new level. In our experience, it is the people who need the most cover who are generally the ones with the least time to spare. With these clients, it is important for the cover to be obtained as soon as possible."

Advisers will be given names and contact details of senior regional underwriters so they can be approached at any stage of the application process. A special helpline has also been set up and a chauffeur -driven service is available for clients to a private hospital within 25 miles of their home or place of work.
