A guide for advisers selling protection products has been launched by Axa UK. The publication is in response to adviser demand for such a guide and is targeted at advisers currently not able to do as much business in their specialist areas due to the current credit crunch .
Axa says that as a result of the tougher times being experienced by the British economy, mortgage sales are one of areas that have been affected badly. The guide will provide advice on how to sell a variety of protection products and get the best of a protection sale opportunity.
Ian Mallon, head of protection at Axa, commented that protection products such as life insurance can be hard to sell because of the underwriting involved. He said: "There are 66 health questions which some people can find intrusive." Axa wants to try and speed up the process by offering other ways of analysing a persons health, a process which can be delayed due to waiting for health test results.
