Protection leads service launched by LeadPoint

LeadPoint has expanded its platform by adding a new protection service which will enable advisers to branch out into new product areas.

Called 'Protection Leads', the new lead category will allow intermediaries to get in touch with consumers who are looking for personal life cover or mortgage protection . Lead buyers will also be able to choose consumers who want critical illness cover with either type of policy.

Insurance is a new direction for Leadpoint, which currently trades loan, mortgage, private medical insurance, debt management and individual voluntary arrangement (IVA) leads. However, the company claims that it has expanded into protection leads so that it can help brokers access new markets and revenue opportunities.

UK managing director Nick Chapman said: "In the current climate, brokers need to look to new markets and revenue opportunities and our protection leads will allow our current customers to get into new markets and also attract new lead buyers to our marketplace."
