Scottish Widows has declared that it is giving part of the profits from its sales of life insurance to the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
The insurer has said that throughout December, for every new life insurance policy that is sold, it will donate £1 to the BHF. Scottish Widows and the rest of the Lloyds TSB group have signed up to BHF in a two year tie-in, which will see schemes like this one help to fund the training of 15 new BHF nurses in local communities.
Richard Jones, marketing director of Scottish Widows, said: "We are very pleased to bolster our two year partnership with the BHF through our Protection For Life campaign."
Last month saw Prudential life insurance promote its Vitality scheme in which people are rewarded with money off their life insurance for keeping their hearts healthy by taking exercise and eating well.
